New Year, New Loves

1. Paramore. People have been recc'ing Paramore for ages now, so why haven't I listened to any of it until this past week? XD

2. Merlin. Some of the dialogue/plots are kind of cheesy, but I am easily swayed by prettiness, and there is a lot of pretty in this show. It's also one of those rare fandoms where I somehow love all the characters and all the ships. So, you know, go watch it.

I just got all of my Christmas shopping done. It was so stressful; I am never shopping with my parents again. They mean well, with their "I'll wait in line for you" attitude, but then I feel all rushed when they reach the cashier before I've finished getting all my stuff. XP

New Lost promo is awesome! I've begun watching S4 with my dad now. It's funny because when I was watching it for the first time, I was all happy and "I have no idea what's going on right now, but look at Sayid's awesome hair!" but my dad seems to fall into despair when he's confused. XD

Also, I want to thank chessie_reeves, angeldylan628, hp5freak, roukinelj, xephyr_42, marylou_gr, and slyfoxesq for the beautiful holiday cards!

First scene of the day - Was a filler scene between two scenes that I wrote yesterday. Part exposition, part OMGmorewords.
Main character & Love interest - My main character is a total doormat and her love interest is a douche. This is like the worst couple ever.
Last scene of the day - Too much introspection for its own good.
Overused word of the day - Better. Everyone knew better than to blah, blah, blah.
Note to self - This story is going to be very fat and short by the end of November. Fat on description, short on plot.

First scene of the day - Surprisingly easy to write. I think I take too much joy in my characters' miseries.
Main character & Love interest - They never get along. Oh, joy.
Last scene of the day - Actually kind of advanced the plot. These types of scenes surprise me always.
Overused word of the day - Anticipated.
Note to self - Boy, things move slowly. Maybe you shouldn't leave huge gaps where your characters don't actually do anything.

First scene of the day - A lot of description. I need to stop focusing on what they're wearing.
Main character & Love interest - I think I have way too many characters because I keep neglecting them.
Last scene of the day - Very filler-ish. Kind of a lame way to avoid two back-to-back scenes with the same characters.
Overused word of the day - Ease. If she keeps doing things "with ease," she's going to turn into a Mary Sue.
Note to self - Starting new plotlines to avoid solving old plot problems is NOT PRODUCTIVE.

Main character & Love interest - Neither mentioned at all. Focused on a minor character today, and she ended up being a complainer.
Last scene of the day - A whole bunch of description of some city I came up with that strongly resembles post-Classical era Baghdad.
Overused word of the day - Bell.
Note to self - Do not count on internet access at 11:30 PM on your crappy laptop for updating word count. :P

First scene of the day - LOLsmut.
Main character - I think she would be Kate Austen from LOST if I could write Kate Austen from LOST, but since I can't, she's just... boring.
Love interest - Eew mushy.
Last scene of the day - Stopped mid-dialogue when I realized I already passed 25000. Yah, I'm lazy.
Overused word of the day - Sluggish.
Note to self - Do not write anything from your interesting character's POV. You will make him boring.

First scene of the day - Was sort of a soliloquy, which I failed at.
Main character - Funnily enough, while I considered my former main character the main character, I never mentioned her. Now that she's been officially demoted to secondary character, I've begun writing her.
Love interest - Introduced a second one, which I like much better. I might just poison the first one or something.
Last scene of the day - More of a tell than show because I was in a rush to get enough words down for the day. XP
Overused word of the day - Approached.
Note to self - The multiple POVs makes it impossible to surprise anyone.

Note to self - Plot plz. The characters have been talking about the weather for about 24 pages now. I'm not so sure how much more they can drain out of it.
